Tom Webb’s earliest memory in life is boxing, At the age of 5 he watched “Friday Night Fights” on TV in the late 1950s where his first Fight Club began in Port Arthur, Texas, in the USA. Tom became an amateur middleweight boxer and sanctioned boxing coach in the USA, receiving his level 3 coaching certification from The USA Boxing Commission. Tom opened his first boxing gym in Harbor, Oregon in the USA. His gym was called “The Brookings-Harbor Fight Club” where he became known as “HarborFighter” it is here where he established his own boxing tournament called the “HarborFight Tournaments”. He became co-founder of an annual boxing camp in Chicago, called “Boxing Before Burgers & Beer” where he became a major influence in establishing other boxing tournaments cities such as Las Vegas called “NeonFight”, he organised and competed in his own events in Atlanta called “Battle of the Boxers” and this is where he became known as the ” HarborFighter” a true showman in the ring, with skills to match! Tom Also trained under Darren Maciunski during his career which added to his fight arsenal by beginning training in Tae Kwon Do. Tom won a gold medal at the Connecticut State Tae Kwon Do Championships in his weight category. Tom went back to the US and opened his second boxing gym, called “Sweet Science Boxing Gym” He organized regular Fight Nights & competed in many casino Fight Nights in California and Oregon. After a successful career of boxing in the USA Tom moved to Australia, He is an accomplished and passionate boxing coach we are lucky to have “HarborFighter Tom” who continues to box and coach as Head Boxing Coach at Iron Industry Gym.
